I enjoyed the view from my room. I was placed in a hearing impaired room which I did not mind. The breakfast was alright for continental but there were plenty of options nearby if you wanted something different. It was centrally located and a 10 minute walk to Grand Central Station. On the other side was the metro stop for Hearld Square and then Bryant Park as well. You have lots of options. If you walk 2 blocks down, you hit the start of Times Square and all the shops. The hotel is in a prime location. The staff were all informative and incredibly kind. Would definitely stay here again. They also have an Outdoor Cinema Club from a third-party if you're looking for something to also do on a Thursday or Friday night.

New York is a great place to vacation if you like to walk, sightsee and experience diversity. There is something for everyone. I would highly recommend the 9/11 memorial and surrounding areas, Gotham Comedy Club, BlueHaven Bar and Grill and staying in the Financial District where it is nice and quiet at night.

New York offers to many different and interesting places,...
New York offers to many different and interesting places, so is hard to single off any of them. To my opinion the best way to see and enjoy New York city is to take Hop on hop off for five days and gradually visit district by district of the city by foot. In each district it is easy to find good restaurant so that you can stay as much as need in certain place depending upon the thing you wont to see. Everything what is needed to be seen in Midtown is within walking distance. In that way, bearing in mind the plan made in advance, it is possible for a relatively short time (9 days, 10 nights) to visit and enjoy the center of the world - Times Square, the main buildings, the view from the skyscrapers, Central park, Brooklyn bridge, Greenwich village, the High Line, Statue of Liberty, Museums, Memorial Center, Night Tour, etc... However the special experience is attending performances at the Metropoliten opera and Broadway theater.

Comparing this trip (post-Covid) to one immediately before...
Comparing this trip (post-Covid) to one immediately before Covid lock downs, there are so many FEWER tourists that it makes the city wonderfully pleasant to visit/stay and you, the visitor, feel like a native. Even major mid-town tourist haunts (Times Square, 5th Avenue, Rock Center, Saks, Bloomingdales, etc), seem vacant by NYC standards. Amazing to be able to walk these, and others (St. Pat's, the MET, subway lines, Staten Island Ferry, 911 Memorial/Museum ) without a crush of humanity and abhorrently long lines for entry. HOWEVER ... and, there's always a "however" ... prices and entry criteria have changed and the City is more expensive than ever. Still ... well worth a visit.
The Wallace is in an excellent location just off Broadway. We walked to the MET through Central Park and used the nearby subway station to access the 1 and 2 lines that go through the theatre district and all way down to the bottom of Manhattan. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but several breakfast and dinner places only meters away. Two of New York’s best food shops are also just around the corner. The hotel is friendly but low key, with new, good sized and very comfortable rooms. I will be recommending it to friends and family.
Small hotel with all of the basic amenities in a fantastic location and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very small, but well planned out and the bed was very comfortable. It is walking distance to Times Square, the Metro and Penn station. we went for a long weekend to enjoy NYC, and did not have to take uber/lyft even once to get around anywhere in Manhattan. This is the place to stay if you are looking for a small, friendly, comfortable place to stay near Times Square, without the luxuries of larger hotels.
My room was clean and my bed was comfortable. The location is very close to the Javits Center. The hotel itself felt not so nice as there was
always at least one of those room cleaning stations in the lobby which was very plain and not welcoming. The elevator kept breaking and I was on the 10th floor. I did not spend any time in the hotel other than to sleep which was nice and quiet. It was the cheapest room in the city by far so I shouldn’t have had high expectations. It was fine for a budget hotel even thought it was $275
Millennium Broadway Times
Square Thank you for an amazing stay! You ensured that our New York City experience was extraordinary. The hotel was in the perfect location, and super close in walking distances to the Broadway Shows, Excellent Restaurants, Times Square, 5th Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Shopping, Subways, and so much more! The double occupancy room was very roomy and extremely clean. We highly recommend the Millennium Broadway Hotel -Times Square and will consider staying in the future when we return to the city!
My recent stay was truly exceptional, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by Hotel Manager Allen. The hotel's prime location near Times Square allowed me to explore the city effortlessly, and the breakfast offerings were impressive in both variety and quality. The overall cleanliness and warm atmosphere of the hotel made for a memorable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Hyatt Place New York City/Times Square to anyone visiting New York, and I look forward to returning in the future.
Location is perfect for everything NYC & Manhattan had to offer. Most major attractions are within easy walking distance. The Subway network is great for anything further afield & with contactless payment meant no time trying to work out what ticket you needed for what at a machine, you just paid once on entry for each journey.
Local restaurants & diners away from the Times Square are generally cheaper and more 'authentic'
The service and luxury offered were unparalleled. My time at The Fifth Avenue Hotel was truly remarkable, I absolutely adore it! It was an extraordinary experience that swept me away to another realm—I almost forgot I was in the heart of New York City! The interior alone is enough to make this stay, however, it was the generous service and personalized attention that made this hotel truly one of a kind.
Great choice for stay in middle Manhattan for a reasonable price. Comfortable bed with great linen, nice bathroom, strong wifi, everything was clean. It takes only 10 minutes walk to Times Square. Comunication was quick and nice, there was no problem with later arrival, at the last day we could let our luggages in the hotel through day for free. We definitelly recommend.
Modern rooms. Fantastic view of Bryant park from my room. Close to Times Square and Broadway. Many restaurants close by. Close to subway. Quiet towards street. Loved the espresso machine and speaker in hotel room. I will definitely stay here again and I will recommend to others that stay in Manhattan.
The locations is excellent close to Times Square, as well as all the facilities in the hotel! Room was nice and clean very conviene to have a kitchen! The breakfast is awesome succeeded my expectations!!! Would stay again definitively it is the best I had experienced in New York Manhattan!
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is very cheap for the city center, very clean, cozy, comfortable. It totally exceeded our expectations. The stuff is perfect, very polite and nice. Everything is very close to the hotel. We would absolutelly recomend.
Mortenegro crew 🇲🇪
The location is great, about 20 minute walk from Times Square. Five-ten minutes walk to subway station. Incredibly comfortable bed, clean room, and the staff very nice and friendly.
Hotel is on the more expensive side, but still one of the cheapest options in Manhattan.
It’s one of the cheapest alternatives in Manhattan. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Excellent location in Koreatown, just next to Empire State. It’s a walking distance to Times Square and even to SoHo if you’re a good walker.
Great location near Times square and theatre district. Felt safe in the neighborhood. Room was comfortable aside from bedding. Plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area. Great city view from our room on the 15th floor.
The hotel boasts perhaps the best rooftop bar in Midtown Manhattan. You a close enough to have a clear view of Times Square, but at a distance which provides some peace and quite away from the hustle and bustle of the area.
Perfect location for Subway, Times Square and central Manhattan. Rooms were bigger than expected after hearing rooms in New York are small. Bed was comfortable and room service was everyday without having to ask for it.
Room was good, but shower wasn’t good and a wash basin tap dripped all night (we wrapped it in a towel so we would not hear the dripping). For a relatively inexpensive New York City hotel, it wasn’t bad.
Great service. Although can’t call it cheap, but regarding New York prices, good value for money. Close to subway and can reach Times Square, Barclays Center and JFK with just one ride.
I have stayed at both YMCAs in the New York City area, so I am familiar with the accommodations. They are efficient and usually cheap, and work in a pinch. However . . .
